Responsibilities
:
1. Provide day-to-day operational support for on-premises and cloud-hosted server environments and networks.
2. Work closely with the Application Support to help resolve service issue.
3. Ensure that all network infrastructure, servers, and associated systems are maintained, supported, and developed to provide secure and available data services to 6500 IT users across 300 locations in the UK
4. Lifecycle management and continuous service improvement of IT infrastructure.
5. Support change control, testing, and deployment of infrastructure services.
6. Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure high levels of service delivery.
7. Always maintain IT security and assist in the upkeep of security accreditations.
8. Strong operational skills and mindset.

10. Expect to identify and resolve issues - then monitor and design them out.
Essential Skills and Experience
11. At least 5 years of experience in an Infrastructure Operations role
12. Strong expertise in IaaS (Windows/Linux), Azure networking, monitoring and alerting, Azure Entra/On Prem AD, Windows Server, and PowerShell scripting.
13. Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft infrastructure product stack
14. Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V and high availability failover clustering.
15. Microsoft Data Protection Manager
16. PowerShell scripting and automation
17. Strong knowledge of resilient LAN/WLAN and WAN infrastructure/technologies
18. Palo Alto Firewalls, Zscaler ZIA, ZPA
19. Fortinet Firewalls, Fortimanager, Fortianalyzer
