Job Title: Claims Administrator – Medical Admin Responsible to: Team Leader Level: Staff Job Summary To support with the delivery of a robust quality claims handling service to Minster clients. Responsible for providing general administrative and operational support to the Claims Department. Core Responsibilities • Monitor and action departmental inboxes and Case Management System task lists in a timely manner to support the Claims Department. • Inputting data as required, to include managing key linked actions and milestone progression for the wider Claims Department and maintaining spread sheet data. • Proactively pursue outstanding costs via telephone with Third Parties. • Produce standard letters to progress cases using the case management system. • Review incoming post, accurately identifying and entering information into the relevant case management system. • Ongoing maintenance and updating of the case management system. • Ensure filing systems and other information systems are maintained to the business’ standard. • Ensure SLAs are achieved. • Complete any other Ad Hoc requests for administrative support, for example completing MedCo searches as required. • Support with resource administrators. • Perform to a high level in a target orientated environment. • To undertake any other tasks as deemed relevant and reasonable by the business. Person Specification Essential · Strong planning and organisational skills, with good attention to detail. · Previous administration experience with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. · Strong communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels across the business. · Solution orientated, logical thinker and a right first-time philosophy. · Good analytical, numerical and literacy skills. Desirable · Ideally have experience working with a case management system. · The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure that challenging deadlines are met. · Maintains a positive attitude, self-motivated and enthusiastic. · Effective team player, working together to achieve business and team goals. · Take opportunities to develop and stretch yourself and be passionate about developing your career with Minster Law.
