Product Owner (12-months FTC)
Salary: £61,344 – £68,160
Location: Halifax and Leeds
Hours: Full-time
Working pattern: Hybrid (minimum two days per week or 40% in‑office)
We are seeking a Product Owner to take end‑to‑end ownership of delivering features, user journeys and technology components for new facilities management tooling. The role will lead the incremental release of a strategic new tool, prioritising the highest‑value customer outcomes and guiding the team to focus on what matters most.
Role Responsibilities
* Support the development of Team OKRs and provide product performance and benefits realisation data.
* Define user‑stories at Team level to meet customer needs.
* Work with the Customer Journey Manager to analyse user stories for customer journey improvements.
* Provide input into the overall Product vision and Product roadmap.
* Prioritise, refine and manage the Team Product backlog.
* Accountable for Product change governance (e.g., CMIA / SPFIA) and Business Readiness activities (training, communications, testing and implementation readiness) for the respective features, journeys or technology components.
Additional Responsibilities for Technical Team Product Owners
* Own and manage the product backlog for a Group‑wide technology asset.
* Develop technical design for the product.
* Lead all product risk activities.
* Define the segmentation and supplier strategy.
* Plan environmental and other technical activities.

* Product Ownership – manage backlogs and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
* Leadership – motivate teams and build trust across diverse groups.
* Innovation – deliver ambitious, innovative approaches and solve problems using emerging technologies.
* Design Thinking – collaborate with design colleagues and apply design methodologies to create exceptional colleague experiences.
* Communication – persuade executives, teams and colleagues through storytelling.
* Customer Centricity – anticipate customer needs and steer solutions toward outcome‑focused results.
* Technical Proficiency – collaborate with suppliers, data and engineering teams on technical aspects of the product.
* Performance & Value Realisation – monitor performance against OKRs and use data‑driven insights to inform prioritisation.
* Stakeholder Management – anticipate conflict and secure long‑term commitment to changes.
* Agile Methodologies – at least 2 years of experience applying agile methods, using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
