32West Ltd is a growing PR agency with its headquarters in Ulverston and operating across the north of England and Scotland. We are looking for a part-qualified or newly qualified AAT accountant to join our team and support the smooth running of our financial operations.

This is a part‑time role (approx. 15–20 hours per week), with a requirement to attend our Ulverston office on a weekly basis. We offer flexibility around working patterns and location, within reason.

Salary is dependent on experience and capability, and will be £27,000–£32,000 pro rata, based on the agreed weekly hours.

Key Responsibilities

* Bookkeeping & Core Financial Processes
* Coding, posting and filing purchase invoices
* Preparing and issuing sales invoices
* Supplier payment preparation and processing
* Card payment allocation and reconciliation
* Maintaining the fixed asset register
* Managing petty cash
* Completing monthly control account reconciliations
* Credit control and debtor management
* Purchase Order Register & Revenue/Cost Matching (One of the company's income streams involves the purchase and resale of advertising and related media services. A key part of the role will be to ensure costs and revenues are accurately matched, reconciled and complete. This is an essential input into monthly accounts.)
* Financial Reporting & Management Accounts
* Preparing monthly management accounts, including forecasting and a short narrative commentary
* Supporting the preparation of the annual budget
* Providing ad‑hoc financial reports to management as required
* External Accountant Support
* Assisting external accountants with payroll and VAT processes when needed
* Providing information and support for annual statutory accounts

Ideal Candidate

* At least 3 years' experience working in an accounts environment
* Able to demonstrate improvements to processes and efficiencies
* Competent user of Sage and confident with Excel
* Strong communication skills, with an open and honest approach
* Comfortable working in a small team, taking ownership and being adaptable

The preferred candidate in the process will be required to complete a DBS check

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £14,000.00-£20,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
