About the role
Bury Library Service are looking to recruit a part time Community Library Assistant 14.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be working on Friday 9.30 - 4.30, Saturday 9.00-1.00 and Sunday 9.00-1.00 at various libraries across our service.

Reporting to the Library Supervisors you will assist in the delivery of a comprehensive range of library and public information services. This will include cash handling, assisting customers with digital queries, shelving books and other library duties.
Evidence of working with the public and of dealing with customer enquiries is essential. You will be working as part of a team, so must have good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to assist and support customers and external partners.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a comprehensive range of library and public information services under the supervision of Library Supervisors.
* Cash handling and assisting customers with digital queries.
* Shelving books and performing other routine library duties.
* Work as part of a team; provide support to customers and external partners; maintain high standards of customer care.
