Job Advert: Payroll Supervisor Duration: Permanent Location: Solihull Salary: £34,000 to £36,500 Working Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week We are recruiting a Payroll Supervisor to deliver an efficient and effective in house payroll operation, and to support the ongoing development of systems for a key employer in the Solihull area. Duties include: Lead the day to day payroll operation, ensuring accuracy, compliance and delivery to all internal and external deadlines. Act as Payroll System Administrator, maintaining system integrity and optimising functionality. Ensure PAYE, statutory payments, pensions and all HMRC requirements are correctly implemented and kept up to date with current and future legislation. Maintain and regularly review payroll procedures to ensure alignment with systems, Financial Regulations, audit standards and external developments. Manage month end payroll processes, including the timely and accurate production of third party payments. Process and maintain accurate records for temporary payments, including pay claims, registers and expenses across all staff groups. Collaborate closely with HR and Finance colleagues to establish and maintain robust financial controls and ensure audit compliance. Liaise effectively with internal and external auditors, providing accurate payroll data and assurance as required. Provide high quality, customer focused payroll support, responding promptly to internal and external enquiries, including ad hoc payroll and pension queries. Line manage payroll staff, coordinating workloads and supporting ongoing professional development and performance. Produce payroll related information and returns as required, including National Statistics submissions and financial references.
