Role Description
Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, provide commercial support and management to the project commercial team, ensuring that all aspects of project contract administration is undertaken in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Subcontract management and general project commercial actions
* Management of junior project commercial staff
* Delivery and accountability for internal and external project commercial targets
* Engagement with project stakeholders including Client commercial team
* Ensure the accuracy of data communicated and reported to all stakeholders
* The highlighting of any current and potential issues to the commercial manager
* Maintain compliance with approved processes procedures and project executive plans
* The active contribution to continuous improvement of the functional quality and performance of Quantity Surveying
* To work in compliance with the Collaborative Management Plan
Requirements
* Supervisory/management experience within a project commercial team
* Knowledge and/or experience of the management of Subcontracts
* BSc in related subject or equivalent experience
* Chartered member to a recognised organisation (RICS or CIOB) an advantage
* Excellent knowledge of commercial aspects of civil and infrastructure projects
* Experience of a Contract Management System (CEMAR etc)
* Capable of obtaining (or currently holds) UK Nuclear industry clearance
* Could manage a small team, whilst reporting into a more senior member for strategic and management guidance
