Domestic Assistant - Northgate Park, Morpeth
We are recruiting a Domestic Assistant to join our team at Northgate Park, Morpeth. This part-time role involves 15 hours per week, working Saturday and Sunday. Our team of Domestics keeps our buildings clean and tidy, providing excellent service to patients, visitors, and staff.
You may be cleaning hospital wards, patient bedrooms, or office areas and corridors. Since we serve the NHS, your work directly supports better patient care. It is important work, and you will need to take pride in completing tasks to a high standard. In community buildings, you will work alongside patients with mental health issues, learning disabilities, or brain injuries, cleaning their rooms and shared areas, and getting to know them and clinical staff. It can be challenging but also rewarding.
Responsibilities:
1. Carrying out a range of cleaning tasks in areas such as offices, corridors, and patient-used spaces like clinics and consultation rooms.
2. Performing cleaning duties including dusting walls, ceilings, curtain rails, furniture, and paintwork; hoovering carpets; mopping floors.
3. Following instructions and routine work schedules independently.
4. Working respectfully, caring, and compassionately alongside patients.
5. Using equipment and cleaning products safely, following COSHH regulations.
6. Understanding and adhering to infection prevention and control rules.
7. Completing paperwork, quality checks, and documentation as required.
8. Assisting with cleaning audits, surveys, and inspections.
9. Participating in training and staying updated with company communications.
10. Supporting equality, diversity, and inclusion in your work.
