Are you an experienced finance leader looking to step into a strategic role? Do you enjoy shaping business direction and acting as a trusted adviser to ambitious company owners?
We’re hiring a Head of Finance to join a professional services firm in Guildford, specialising in outsourced finance for growing businesses. This role combines oversight of a skilled finance team with the opportunity to work directly with business leaders - guiding strategy, presenting insights, and operating as their outsourced CFO.

THE ROLE
* Partner with company directors to shape strategy and growth plans
* Present financial results and insights in a clear, commercial way
* Act as an outsourced CFO for multiple client businesses
* Lead and develop the finance team responsible for monthly reporting and controls
* Oversee preparation of management accounts, board packs, and financial commentary
* Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling for client businesses
* Ensure balance sheet reconciliations and cashflow forecasting are accurate and timely
* Strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures across the function
* Oversee system and process improvements to enhance efficiency
* Monitor key performance metrics and advise on areas for improvement
* Maintain strong relationships with external advisers and auditors
YOUR PROFILE
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Good working knowledge of MS Excel
* Proven experience leading a finance function and developing a team
* Confident presenting to and advising senior business leaders on strategy

* Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days home
