We are excited to invite talented HGV Technicians to join our Transport Department at our Bridgwater Depot. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to work with a prestigious logistics company, servicing and repairing a modern, well-maintained fleet of vehicles.
About the Role
As an HGV Technician, your primary responsibility will be to repair and maintain our HGV fleet to meet legal and company standards. You will actively seek solutions to challenges and embrace a safe and efficient approach to your work.
Key Details
* Location: Bridgwater Depot (TA6 6DF)
* Contract: Full Time / Permanent
* Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 days
* Salary: From £20.04 per hour - £26.69 per hour
* Overtime Rate: 1.125x hourly rate
* Saturday: 1.125x hourly rate
* Sundays and Bank Holidays: 1.5x hourly rate
* Unsociable Hours (6pm - 4am): 14.25% hourly rate
Your Responsibilities
* Inspect and maintain our HGV fleet
* Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and transport to the test centre
* Record vehicle defects and maintain accurate records of work
* Repair minor accident damage
* Carry out fault diagnosis
* Prioritize safety in all aspects of your role
What We’re Looking For
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
* Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload
* Qualifications: City & Guilds part 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience
* Commercial experience with HGVs is essential
* Class C+E licence is preferable but not essential
