About The Role

The successful candidate(s) will join an innovative Community Trust, working closely with the football club to deliver community initiatives, projects, and programmes during non-match days, match days, and holiday camps. We seek dynamic, energetic, creative, and flexible team members ready to hit the ground running.
Reporting to Project Coordinators, the candidate(s) will assist and/or lead high-quality delivery. As a casual Community Coach, you will play a vital role in the growth of the Community Trust, helping expand operations and deliver high-quality matchday, school-based, and community sessions.
New coaches will be responsible for the welfare of children and vulnerable adults under their care, in line with the Trust’s Safeguarding Policies. We value equality, diversity, and inclusivity, fostering fairness and opportunity across the Trust.
The role may require availability on matchdays, typically every other Saturday or weekday evenings.
About You
The ideal candidate(s) will be able to deliver various active sessions, including coaching football activities at camps and in community settings, and supporting after-school and curriculum-based classroom sessions.
* Minimum Level 1 football coaching badge
* Knowledge of the FA Coaching Pathway
* Experience working or volunteering in school, club, or community sports
* Ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate coaching sessions
* Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
* Enhanced DBS Certificate or current FA DBS Clearance
* FA Safeguarding & Emergency Aid/ BFAS Qualifications
* Ability to work effectively within a team and embrace environmental ethos
* Computer literacy
* Experience in charity or community organizations
* Mentoring experience in coaching/teaching
* Knowledge of the national curriculum for ages 5-11 and/or 11-16
* Understanding of the charity, voluntary, and community sectors
* Passion for a career in football, promoting participation and love for the sport
* Experience with Quality Assurance Reporting platforms
* Experience facilitating camps, programs, and curriculum activities
* Experience working with socially excluded youth and vulnerable adults
* Teaching Qualification, Level 2 Coaching Award, or UEFA B license
* Level 2 or 3 Supporting PE and School Sport (or equivalent)
* Clean Driver’s License
