Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with complex needs?

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children’s Care Assistant with experience supporting children with complex needs to join our caring and supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, person-centred care to help our client feel safe, valued, and supported in reaching their full potential.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide high-quality, person-centred care for our client with complex needs. You will be supporting our client within their own home.
* Support a client with overnight duties and responsibilities including personal care, feeding, mobility, and medication (where required)
* Assist with activities and learning opportunities that promote development and independence
* Monitor our client’s wellbeing and respond appropriately to health or behavioural needs
* Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams
* Maintain accurate records and follow care plans at all times


Essential Requirements

* Experience supporting children with complex needs, disabilities, or additional support requirements
* A caring, patient, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings or weekends if required


Desirable

* Qualification in Health & Social Care, Childcare, or similar field
* Experience with conditions such as autism, physical disabilities, epilepsy, or sensory needs
* Knowledge of behaviour support strategies and person-centred care
