NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the National Health Board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
Applications are invited from a Consultant in Public Health Medicine/Consultant in Public Health.
The key role of the postholder will be responsibility for managing specialty training programmes for trainees holding the following appointments: specialty registrar (ST); and locum appointments for training (LATs).
The TPD should be a Consultant in Public Health Medicine/Consultant in Public Health and is accountable to the Lead Dean Director for General Practice, or appropriate Associate Postgraduate Dean. They may also combine the role with that of an educational and/or clinical/attachment supervisor.
