Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team. This role involves working on a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, loaders, telehandlers, and more. The position is based in Bristol and covers the surrounding areas. Responsibilities
* Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
* Perform inspections to ensure machinery is safe and compliant with regulations.
* Provide on-site support to clients, ensuring minimal downtime for their equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and any additional recommendations.
* Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer, or in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, loaders, and telehandlers.
* Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
* Relevant qualifications in engineering or mechanics (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
* Full UK driving license.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
Day-to-Day
* Travel to client sites in Bristol and surrounding areas to perform maintenance and repairs.
* Inspect and test machinery to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.
* Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot faults.
* Replace or repair faulty components and ensure machinery is operational.
* Provide expert advice to clients on the care and maintenance of their equipment.
* Collaborate with the team to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
