About the Role
One of our major clients is on the lookout for a
detail-oriented and motivated Cost Engineer
to support their
Project Controls
department. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and be involved across
all stages of the Programme Lifecycle
.
You'll work closely with the
Cost Engineers
and
Project Managers
to ensure budgets, forecasts, and reports are accurate and aligned with the schedule. If you're looking to develop your career in cost engineering with exposure to high-profile programmes, this could be the perfect next step
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and maintaining cost
forecasts
with the Cost Engineer and Project Managers
Collaborate with Programme Planners to align forecasts with project
schedules
Monitor
spend and budgets
to support cost control and affordability
Support
month-end reporting
and maintain data across internal financial systems
Attend
monthly supplier meetings
and support contract admin via
CEMAR
Raise
purchase requisitions
and process
invoices
in internal systems
Verify invoices/valuations and support resolution of financial queries

Qualifications
What We're Looking For
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Some experience or understanding of
cost control principles
Familiarity with tools like
Excel
, CEMAR, or other financial systems
A proactive and organised approach
Team player with good communication skills
Desirable Skills and Experience
Diploma level educated.
Working towards relevant Professional Membership, if not already held.
CEMAR and/or NEC4 experience
