As our College Community Support Officer at our West Durrington campus, you will provide the first response to incidents across the College site, assist Managers or appropriate College staff to adopt a collaborative problem-solving approach to highlighted issues and implement de-escalation techniques and restorative justice.
You will act as Safeguarding Officer for assigned cases (in liaison with the Safeguarding team), gathering evidence in relation to incidents and disclosures as per the Safeguarding policy.
Our College Community Support Officer will hold GCSE maths and English Language, or equivalent at C/4 grade or above. You should also have a Level 3 qualification in the relevant subject area, eg, Coaching, Health and Social Care, Youth Work. Experience of working with young people (including 14-19-year-olds) and vulnerable adults and those with challenging behaviour is essential.
