HGV Driver
£17.50 - £20.00 per hour
Ramsey
We do what we say - That’s why we’re keen to hear from people like you, people who make it their business to get things done!
We have an opportunity for an experienced Beavertail Driver to join our team, supporting the safe delivery and collection of plant and equipment across our operations.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be transporting construction equipment such as diggers, dumpers and telehandlers, ensuring they are loaded, secured and delivered safely to site. You’ll also support with general yard duties, making this a varied role where no two days are the same.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved with…
* Operating a Beavertail vehicle to deliver and collect plant and equipment
* Loading and unloading machinery including diggers, dumpers and telehandlers
* Ensuring all loads are secured correctly and transported safely
* Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks
* Supporting site teams with timely and efficient deliveries and collections
* Working in line with health and safety standards at all times
* Assisting with general yard duties as required
We would love to hear from you if…
You hold a full HGV Class 2 licence and a valid Driver CPC. A recognised load security qualification is also required.
Previous experience within plant hire or transporting construction equipment is essential, along with the confidence to load and unload machinery safely and independently.
A strong understanding of load security and health and safety standards is key, as is a flexible approach to working hours, including early starts where required.
A HGV Class 1 licence would be an advantage, but is not essential.
