We are looking for a Neighbourhood Safety and Enforcement Officer to join our team in Salford. In this role it will be your duty to enhance community safety and tackle anti-social behaviour. In this vital role, You will conduct thorough investigations of complaints, handle casework, and implement suitable legal measures to uphold tenancy conditions. Additionally, you will offer support to residents to foster a safe and harmonious living environment. Your responsibilities will include working closely with customers and partner agencies, applying a range of solutions to resolve tenancy issues effectively. You will prepare legal documentation, represent cases in court, and collaborate with teams to foster proactive community engagement.

* Investigate Complaints: Handle complaints related to anti-social behaviour and tenancy enforcement in line with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
* Apply Remedies and Solutions: Utilise a variety of approaches to provide sustainable solutions to cases of anti-social behaviour and tenancy-related issues.
* Stay Informed on Legislation and Policies: Keep up-to-date on relevant laws and policies affecting anti-social behaviour and tenancy matters, and identify opportunities to refer cases to relevant agencies while ensuring timely follow-up and feedback.
* Take Ownership of Cases: Manage cases responsibly and within agreed timelines, progressing them to resolution. This includes interviewing witnesses, conducting thorough investigations, collecting evidence, preparing cases for court, and supporting victims and witnesses throughout the legal process.
* Support Cross-Team Collaboration: Offer guidance to other teams to aid in resolving complaints and cases, as needed.
* Participate in Case Conferences: Attend or chair case conferences, ensuring accurate recording of minutes and that all relevant agencies and professionals remain updated on case progress.
* Build Partnerships: Develop and maintain proactive partnerships with external agencies, including the police, to enhance the effectiveness of the anti-social behaviour service. Engage in joint operations where required.
* Assist in Programme Development: Contribute to initiatives aimed at managing anti-social behaviour and promoting good citizenship, demonstrating a commitment to early intervention and creative approaches to achieve swift resolutions and avoid legal action where possible.
* Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure case files are accurately maintained and up-to-date, including the use of any required computerised systems. Provide clear written case reports, respond to formal enquiries, and produce reports and statistical information as needed.
* Act as a Professional Witness: Serve as a professional witness, when necessary, and make attempts to witness incidents of anti-social behaviour both during and outside normal office hours.

* A Full UK Driving Licence and Access to a Vehicle with Business Insurance
* Strong Communication Skills and a Positive, Can-Do Attitude, with experience in working directly with the public in challenging and complex situations, such as handling complaints and addressing anti-social behaviour concerns.
* Self-Motivation and Initiative: Capable of working independently as well as collaborating effectively within a team.
* Knowledge of Tenancy Dispute Solutions and Anti-Social Behaviour Management, understanding the range of options available to address these issues effectively.
* Customer-Focused Outlook, with a dedication to delivering high-quality service and maintaining a professional, supportive approach in all interactions.
* Proficiency in Computer Skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
