This role is based on site at our Grade II Listed property restoration project in Dorchester, Dorset.
The position is full time and permanent.
40 Hours per week required.
7am start Mondays. 3:30pm finish Fridays.
You will be responsible for opening and closing site at these times.
The Role:
* Reporting to the Senior Site Manager, this is a site-based role.
* Cover for the current Senior Site Manager as required.
* Liaising professionally with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers at all levels to ensure projects are overseen efficiently.
* Assisting the Senior Site Manager on day-to-day sub-contract works to ensure these are undertaken safely, as per scope, programme and contract terms.
* Site meetings as necessary.
* Being aware of project programme dates, sub-contractors engaged to undertake the works, variations to works and completion dates.
* Responsible and accountable for health & safety and welfare of all on site works whilst in charge.
* Following company processes, procedures and maintaining standards.
Experience:
* Proven experience supervising construction sites.
* Desired Qualifications: SSSTS, First Aid at Work, Asbestos Awareness – training will be considered if not already qualified.
* An good understanding of CDM Regulations 2015, Health & Safety on site and the prevention of accidents and incidents.
* Excellent interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills, incorporating a professional and authoritative management style with the ability to prioritise and delegate effectively as necessary.
* Ability to work on your own initiative, learn quickly but more importantly be very much a team player.
The Package:
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week – Mon - Fri
Holiday Entitlement: 24 days plus statutory bank holidays
General:
Driving is essential to undertake this role, and own vehicle will be required
Mileage from home to site and back will be covered at 0.45p per mile for the first 10,000 miles and then 0.25p thereafter
