About The Company
The college is a well-established creative industry training provider with more than twenty years' experience in delivering and supporting education and work opportunities. Their mission statement is to Develop Talent, Transform Lives, Create Careers. They have more than 500 young people per year enrolled onto their various creative courses. This includes their study programme, based at their Uplands House and Digital Futures campuses, as well as their apprentices, trainees and adult learners, who are based at Creative Works.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver exciting lessons supporting learner progression, that relate to their needs and interests
Promote safety, wellbeing and safeguarding (CPOMS)
Record attendance and academic notes on Arbor MIS
Track learner progression on the allocated Google Sheets
Develop innovative opportunities for interdepartmental and intradepartmental project collaborations
Use a range of assessment methods and provide outstanding and prompt feedback to inspire learners
Complete learner one-to-one tutorials and individual learning plans on a bi-termly basis
Facilitate the wide-range of enrichment trips and guest speaker events arranged across the year
Work towards a stable learner retention and qualification achievement rate
Undertake in-house training to remain up-to-date with awarding body expectations
Support learners to prepare for their assessed end-of-year project
Requirements
Experience with Adobe Photoshop/After Effects/Premiere - modelling, concept art/textures
Experience of working professionally in a relevant creative industry/as an entrepreneur
Experience with Autodesk Maya/Blender - animating, skinning, rigging, texturing, 3D modelling
Experience with Unity/Unreal Engine - animation-to-engine pipelines
Drawing and art skills
Extremely organised and able to manage your own workload effectively and flexibly
Highly motivated and driven to succeed
Outstanding teaching and communication skills and understanding of Ofsted framework
Solution-focused and able to responding to data trends
Assertive and confident in learning environment management
Ambitious and committed to meeting targets, setting standards of behaviour and work
Empathy towards the many challenges faced by young adults in a demographic with high free school meals rate and poverty levels
Excellent communication skills
Visual scripting/programming skills
Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)
Degree/relevant qualification in the subject area
