Role: Customer Service & Credit Control Assistant Location: Dewsbury Salary: £27,000 pa Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, (flexible hours - 8.30-5pm, 9-5.30pm) About the role: Our client is a well established manufacturer based in Dewsbury, supplying high quality products to both residential and commercial markets worldwide are looking for a Customer Service & Credit Control Assistant to join their busy department. This role is to provide support to the Credit Controller alongside additional finance responsibilities, whilst also additional support to the Customer Services department as and when required. Key responsibilities of the Customer Service & Credit Control Assistant: Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments via phone and email to ensure timely collection. Respond to customer and internal stakeholder queries promptly, providing excellent service and resolving issues efficiently. Process card payments and allocate receipts accurately in the finance system. Issue credit notes in line with company policy, ensuring correct authorisation and posting. Support the investigation and resolution of complaints, liaising with relevant teams as needed. Provide telephone support for the Customer Services team when required. Maintain accurate account records and assist in producing reports to track performance, trends and opportunities for improvement. Skills & Experience Required: Proven experience in customer service, ideally with some credit control knowledge. Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate records. Excellent verbal communication skills, with confidence in handling customer queries over the telephone. IT literate. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
