Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Evaporator Production Operator to join our food manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining evaporator equipment to ensure the efficient production of high-quality food products. This role requires a strong commitment to food safety standards and mechanical aptitude, with an emphasis on precision and attention to detail. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within the food production industry.
Responsibilities
Operate evaporator machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
Monitor process parameters and make adjustments to maintain optimal product quality and efficiency
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment, identifying and reporting any faults or irregularities
Ensure compliance with HACCP and other food safety regulations throughout all stages of production
Record data accurately, including temperature, pressure, and other relevant measurements
Assist in cleaning and sanitising equipment to uphold hygiene standards
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity and safety
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards
Experience /Requirements
Previous experience in food production or manufacturing environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Basic knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations is advantageous
Mechanical knowledge or experience with industrial equipment is desirable
Competence in basic maths for measurements, calculations, and data recording
Competence in using hand tools, welding equipment, and materials handling techniques.
A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adhering to health and safety protocols
Knowledge of tooling setup, milling operations, and mechanical assembly processes.
You will be required to work 4 x 10-hour days each week on a rolling rota basis Monday through Saturday, covering early shift (6:00am 4:00pm) and late shift (4:00pm 2:00am).
Overtime is available on a voluntary basis.
