Job Description:
A highly respected Building Control service is looking for a Registered Building Inspector (Class 2) to join their growing team in Berkshire on a flexible, long-term contract basis.
This role is ideal for experienced professionals looking to apply their expertise across a wide range of residential and commercial developments, with the freedom to choose hours that suit your lifestyle and the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct site inspections across a variety of construction projects
* Ensure compliance with the latest Building Regulations and legislation
* Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and reports
* Provide clear and practical technical advice to developers, contractors, and colleagues
* Engage confidently with stakeholders and represent the service in meetings and on-site
Requirements:
* Registered Building Inspector – Class 2A or above (ideally 2B or higher)
* Proven experience in Building Control – either within local authority or private sector
* Strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations
* Excellent communication and reporting skills
* Able to manage workload independently with strong time management
