What will you be doing?
The Role
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers with a strong background in rotating components for electric motor systems. You will contribute directly to the design and development of cutting-edge aerospace and high-integrity products, working from concept through to certification.
Key Responsibilities:
* Mechanical design of rotating components for electric motors.
* Designing with metallic, composite, and electrically machined materials.
* Development of complex test rigs (experience with DSD-type setups is highly valued).
* Creation of tooling designs for industrial manufacturing environments.
* Supporting certification activities in line with industry standards.
* Hands-on product design and problem-solving in a high-integrity environment.
* Utilising Siemens NX for CAD modelling and design tasks.
Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in rotating components within electric motor systems.
* Aerospace industry background preferred, or similar high-integrity sectors.
* Strong practical understanding of tooling design in an industrial environment.
* Familiarity with industry certification processes.
* Proficient in NX Siemens CAD software.
