Here at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our community podiatry team as a Band 5 Podiatrist on a permanent contract.
We are looking to recruit a motivated, forward-thinking, HCPC Registered Podiatrist with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in a community setting delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
As a community Podiatrist, you will be required to use your initiative and provide a range of high-quality podiatric interventions across various locations, including clinical settings, domiciliary visits, nursing homes, and other external environments throughout the Wakefield district.

Core working hours are a 9-day fortnight, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Thursday, and alternate Fridays from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Main duties of the job
1. Develop and implement clinically effective podiatric interventions for the Wakefield District population, delivering services from various locations based on service needs.
2. Utilise clinical reasoning, critical thinking, analysis, and reflection to support assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, developing individualised treatment plans for patients with foot pathology and medical needs.
3. Provide general care in diverse settings including clinical, domiciliary, hospital, and nursing homes.
4. Work as a highly motivated team member to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
5. Undertake nail surgery assessments and procedures.
6. Participate in placements for students and support undergraduate Podiatrists and trainee Podiatry assistants delivering care.
