Overview
Contract Personnel are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced CNC Toolmaker / Machinist, to take over the reins from a long-standing employee as they wind down to retirement. Based in Great Yarmouth, youd be joining a highly experienced team of precision engineers, who have a full diary of projects.
Responsibilities
* Set and operate CNC grinding machines (surface and cylindrical)
* Utilise pre-prepared process and tooling sheets with existing CNC programs
* Perform occasional machine-side program editing to meet specific requirements
* Operate conversational programming systems
* Ensure programs run effectively to achieve tight tolerances and specifications
* Conduct basic fault finding and maintenance on grinding machines to maintain optimal performance
* Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures
Requirements
* Full working knowledge and experience in the use of manual machines, including the use of Milling Machines, Centre Lathes, Surface Grinders, and Cylindrical Grinders
* Experience in electrical discharge machining (EDM) would be an advantage, although training can be provided
* Good knowledge of using inspection equipment and reading and understanding the engineering drawings
* Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and procedures
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment
