An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Advanced Social Work Practitioner within the Family Support & Safeguarding Team in Ashfield North, Nottinghamshire. This dynamic team comprises experienced social workers, family support staff, and specialists in domestic abuse and substance misuse. In this role, you will manage a small caseload of children facing complex family circumstances while supporting colleagues in developing their skills. As an Advanced Social Work Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include: Managing Caseloads: Oversee a small number of children with complex needs. Supporting Colleagues: Mentor and guide staff in assessment, analysis, and risk management. Supervising Staff: Provide supervision for alternatively qualified staff and apprentices. Contributing to Supervision: Engage in reflective and group supervision sessions. Court Work: Participate in court proceedings and pre-proceedings work. To be successful in this role, you will need: A minimum of three years' post-qualifying experience in children's social care. Experience in mentoring or supervising others. A strong understanding of child protection, child in need, and looked-after children processes. A relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
