The Head of MIS leads a function that underpins operational effectiveness, financial sustainability and learner success, overseeing the Business Intelligence, Exams and Registry teams. Management Information Systems are central to how we plan, deliver and review provision, ensuring leaders and curriculum teams work with clarity, confidence and accuracy. About the role

Key responsibilities:

* Oversee the integrity, accuracy and timely submission of statutory data returns, including ILR and HESES.
* Ensure exams, enrolments, timetabling and related processes meet regulatory requirements and are delivered effectively.
* Develop, maintain and improve data systems and reporting tools, including dashboards that support operational and strategic decision‑making.
* Promote a strong data‑compliant culture through policies, processes and staff development.
* Provide expert advice on funding, data use and management information across the College, supporting cross‑departmental collaboration.
The successful candidate will:
* Hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
* Have strong experience working with data, reporting systems and MIS‑related functions.
* Demonstrate successful management experience within MIS, Exams or ILR environments.
* Possess up‑to‑date knowledge of FE/HE funding rules and requirements.
* Be technically proficient with data systems and software tools.
* Show strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
* Be adaptable, proactive and capable of leading and developing a team.
We can offer you:
* 35 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* A two-week festive/New Year shut down
* Generous pension scheme with an employer contribution of 20.8%
* Enhanced sick pay of up to 6 months full pay depending upon service
* On site gym membership available
* Pluxee reward scheme
