Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Financial Accountant to support the finance function of a growing international distribution group with multiple European subsidiaries. The role will support monthly management accounts preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, multi-entity VAT compliance, inventory accounting, and group consolidation processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing monthly management accounts.
* Post accruals, prepayments, and month-end journals.
* Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Prepare and reconcile European VAT returns and Intrastat reports.
* Reconcile inventory between CIN7, Xero and stock valuation
* Reconcile intercompany balances and support consolidation adjustments.
* Support system improvements and financial process controls.
Key Skills & Experience
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
* Multi-entity experience in distribution, stockholding, or product-based businesses.
* Current working experience of VAT principles in UK & Europe.
* Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience.
* Working experience of Xero.
* Strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
* Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
