Reporting to the IT Manager, we are seeking to employ an IT Support Engineer. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment in a leading Barristers Chambers, providing IT Support to their Barristers and staff. You will be part of a team tasked with ensuring the security of their network and services as well as troubleshooting and providing support with computers, phones, software and more.
In this role, you will be working with all members of chambers and staff to deal with any IT issues they may be having. IT can be stressful for those who rely on it, and you will deliver a service that is calming, helpful and delivered in a language everyone can understand.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support over phone calls, email, and remote access software.
2. Troubleshoot errors on desktops, laptops, mobile phones, and software suites.
3. Log and record support events and updates in our internal ticketing system.
4. Follow up on issues regularly to ensure they are resolved to the satisfaction of clients.
5. Advise on best working practices and security protocols.
6. Complete defined processes such as user creation and onboarding, user deletion, device setup etc.
Desirable Experience/Knowledge
7. Troubleshooting Windows based PC's and laptops
8. Troubleshooting MacOS based PC's and laptops.
9. Troubleshooting Android and iOS-based smartphones.
10. Basic understanding of networks.
11. Basic understanding of network equipment such as switches, firewalls, and routers
12. Basic understanding of the office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Office 365
13. Customer service experience
Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 including bonus and benefits
