At our Kilkeel Facility, we manufacture aircraft interior seating for a number of worldwide customers. As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Graduate Design Engineer in our Seating business located in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland.
Graduate Design Engineer
The successful candidate will work within a cross functional team to support in the design and manufacture of world class solutions for aircraft seating.

This role offers the potential to build a career, with technical progression paths through senior & principal engineer roles, or alternatively people management progression through team lead & manager roles.
The successful candidate can expect to:
7. Collaborate with the Integrated Product Team on the design of new components & assemblies ensuring that the developed solution is optimised for cost, weight, quality & satisfies current manufacture capabilities and practices.
8. Design and create 2D & 3D Parametric Models along with associated drawings & BoMs to meet the design specifications of the product.
9. Solve engineering challenges to closure through the implementation of Engineering Change Notices into production.
10. Set up new components and materials in Teamcenter and support the introduction of new products into the production environment.
11. Support the Production Team with the resolution of engineering related issues.
12. Liaison with other design teams around the world
13. Establish and maintain design best practices
14. Promote and support a safe working environment in line with Company objectives.
15. Contribute to the culture of continuous improvement within the department.
16. Identify and implement Lean initiatives.
17. Any other duties as required to support business needs.
What you need to succeed?
Essential Criteria:
Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
Desirable criteria:
A minimum of 1 years’ relevant engineering experience gained in a design or manufacturing environment.
Experience of Design tools & processes.
Experience in New Product Development / New Product Introduction.
Experience in Engineering Change Management.
