Role Overview
Our client is a well-established, family‑founded main contractor delivering high‑quality design‑and‑build commercial projects. A new £20m scheme in Manchester provides a great opportunity to develop your career on a flagship project.
Responsibilities
 * Assist in managing all project costs from initial estimates to final accounts.
 * Prepare, submit, and review valuations and variations.
 * Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, including contract negotiation.
 * Provide monthly cost reporting and forecasting.
 * Monitor project progress and maintain accurate commercial records.
 * Coordinate with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery.
 * Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
Qualifications
 * A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent).
 * 2‑3 years’ post‑graduate experience with a main contractor.
 * Experience on commercial design‑and‑build projects is highly desirable.
 * Strong numerical, analytical, and IT skills.
 * Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
 * Ability to work independently and within a team.
 * Knowledge of JCT contracts is an advantage.
 * Detail oriented with strong organisational skills.
