Cygnus Academies Trust is seeking an exceptional People Manager to lead our HR team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role that will oversee our people strategy across the Trust. It is a pivotal role in shaping a positive, high-performing culture that supports our staff to deliver the very best for our pupils. With a solid understanding of HR principles, you will build positive relationships with stakeholders and provide effective HR advice and support to enhance strategic leadership within the school.

This person will be responsible for leading employee relations, recruitment, and staff wellbeing. They will ensure compliance with employment law, safeguarding, and trust policies. The role includes overseeing HR systems, workforce planning, and policy development. Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification for more details.

This post is customer-facing and falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on English Language Requirement for Public Sector Workers. The school has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. Standards are set out in the JD/Person Specification and will be applied during recruitment, selection, and probation.
