Senior Quantity Surveyor - Freelance
Your new companyOperating both in the UK and across the world, they are a leading contractor delivering projects across multiple sectors including; real estate, defence, education, highways, rail and water.Your new roleAn established main contractor is seeking a Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of projects. The role requires a commercially astute professional with strong experience working to the National Schedule of Rates (NSR) and proven capability managing projects through delivery and final accounts.Key Responsibilities:
* Full commercial management of assigned works packages
* Preparation, assessment, and agreement of valuations
* Administering and managing change in accordance with the National Schedule of Rates
* Cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management
* Procurement and management of subcontractors
* Preparation and negotiation of final accounts
* Supporting the commercial strategy to maximise value and minimise risk
* Working closely with site and project teams to ensure robust cost control
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on UK projects
* Strong demonstrable experience using the National Schedule of Rates (NSR)
* Background with main contractors preferred
* Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
* Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively
