The role
As a Civil Engineering Professional Head, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will ensure compliance to regulations for the civil engineering function within railway track renewal and new build projects.
Day-to-day, you’ll review standards and produce internal standards for application within engineering function.
1. Conducting briefings
2. Auditing projects for compliance
3. Provide guidance on civil engineering queries when required
Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
This role is full time 35 hours per week and is mostly remote with ad hoc requirements to be on site at Hamilton or one of our other sites, including Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, London etc. with expenses paid.
Essential experience of the Civil Engineering Professional Head
4. Extensive experience in railway industry
5. Extensive knowledge of civil engineering
6. Experience in a professional head / technical authority role
Qualifications for the Civil Engineering Professional Head
7. Civil engineering chartership and / or a degree in civil or structural engineering
