Job Title: Purchasing Manager Department: Procurement / Supply Chain ​ Principle Purpose of Position: The Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading procurement activities across the business. This role requires an energetic and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and communicates effectively across all departments and actively drives value. A key focus of the role is to maximise EBITDA through strategic sourcing, cost control, and supplier management, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and service delivery. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies that support both project delivery and manufacturing operations Proactively identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve margins, contributing directly to EBITDA performance Build, maintain, and manage strong supplier relationships, ensuring competitive pricing without compromising quality Regularly and clearly communicate with internal stakeholders including operations, production, engineering, finance, and sales to align procurement with business needs Negotiate pricing, contracts, and framework agreements to achieve best commercial outcomes Monitor market trends, supply risks, and commodity pricing to inform purchasing decisions Act quickly to resolve supply chain issues, delays, or quality concerns Maintain accurate procurement records, reporting, and cost tracking Lead, motivate, and develop the purchasing team fostering a high-energy, results-driven culture Manage & maintain item cards & vendors within the ERP system Building up supply chain in Germany & USA to support our global expansion ​ Skills: High energy, drive, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage regularly and effectively across all levels of the business Strong commercial mindset with a clear focus on margin improvement and EBITDA optimisation Advanced negotiation and supplier management skills Strong organisational and planning abilities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment Ability to balance cost reduction with maintaining quality and service standards Strong analytical skills and financial awareness Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team ​ Experience: 5 years proven experience in procurement management within construction, manufacturing. Demonstrated success in delivering considerable cost savings and margin improvements Strong background in supplier negotiation and contract management Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments Experience using ERP/MRP systems. Preferably Microsoft Dynamics BC365 Qualifications: CIPS qualification (Level 4–6) or equivalent is highly desirable Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel ​ Benefits: Friendly working environment with strong employee engagement, and automatic enrolment onto company bonus scheme (after probationary period completed).
