The postholder will provide assessment and specialist physiotherapy for individuals with eating disorders across the east of England.
Main duties of the job
1. To work clinically as part of the A-EDIT eating disorder team.
2. To assess and provide specialist physiotherapy treatment for individuals with eating disorders, with a variety of complex physical and mental health needs.
3. To identify patient needs, agree goals, and provide appropriate physiotherapy interventions as part of exercise pathway.
4. To formulate and support the delivery of physiotherapy led groups as part of the exercise treatment pathway, in the form of both practical, and psycho-education based groups.
5. To provide specialist physiotherapy advice to other health professionals, carers and other agencies, within and outside the team.
6. To contribute to the review and development of service delivery.
7. To reassess care as treatment progresses and alter treatment programmes using knowledge and skills underpinned by clinical experience and best practice.
8. Be able to motivate and encourage behavioural change as part of the treatment pathway, and work towards treatment goals.
