Role Overview
This role is for a Head Driver who will manage and maintain the Mobile Dental Surgery’s vehicles and trust lease cars in London and Kent. You will be based in London but will travel to Kent to support services across the region.
Responsibilities
Oversee the servicing, maintenance and repairs of all vehicles in collaboration with key staff in London and Kent.
Line manage three drivers, supervising their work and ensuring efficient use of resources.
Coordinate routes, manage rota’s and workloads for the driver team.
Work closely with the Senior Project Coordinator in London, key staff in Kent and operational managers to deliver outreach services, including those in prisons, medium secure units, homeless sites and a secure school.
Ensure continuity of the mobile dental unit service across London and Kent.
Requirements
UK driving licence that permits driving up to 7.5 tonnes (C1/D1 category).
Enhanced DBS clearance.
Experience in vehicle maintenance and managing drivers in a busy environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a professional contact point for all driver and vehicle related enquiries.
Capacity to work independently, proactively and under pressure while maintaining composure.
