Job Title: Logistics Vehicle Operator
Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a dedicated Logistics Vehicle Operator to ensure the timely, efficient, and courteous delivery of products to customers. The role involves maintaining high professional standards and adhering to all Health and Safety regulations, Working Time Directive, Road Transport Law, and Company procedures daily.
Key accountabilities:
* Proper maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle and all entrusted equipment, with accurate record-keeping as per legislation and company procedures.
* Compliance with company personnel and administrative policies.
* Adherence to Health and Safety, Working Time Directive, and Road Transport regulatory requirements.
* Management of waste disposals, water discharges, and dust emissions according to Environmental procedures.
* Cost-effective, efficient, and courteous delivery operations.
* Timely and consistent attendance at the operating unit.
* Performing additional duties as directed by Management.
* Operation of specialized vehicles (walking floor/rolling floor/tipper/concrete mixer) as required.
* Flexibility regarding location, including overnight stays and working away as dictated by customer demand.
* Willingness to undergo further training, including CRB/Scottish Disclosure checks.
* Maintaining high safety standards and strict adherence to site rules.
Education/Qualifications:
* Full knowledge of Road Transport Law, Working Time Directive, and relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
* Current DCPC card.
* Valid EPIC/MPQC card.
* Ability to identify and report issues.
* Motivated, physically fit, and capable of working independently.
