Responsibilities
As a teacher at Witherslack Group you will work with children and young people aged 5 to 19 who have Autism and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Your tasks include:
- Planning and delivering targeted lessons that support learning and development.
- Maintaining a resilient, caring, and dedicated approach to support pupils’ self‑esteem.
- Collaborating with in‑house psychologists, teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to provide holistic support.
- Utilising the school’s purpose‑built facilities, including a large sports hall, 6th‑form suite, therapeutic spaces, and extensive outdoor areas.
Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience with Special Educational Needs, especially Autism and/or SEMH.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to build relationships with a diverse group of pupils.
- Ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team.
