Role
As a Food Manufacturing environment Worcester Kraft Heinz has a key focus on FSQ and their pivotal role in our performance. This role will embody food safety and quality across site as part of the FSQ team, and be responsible for day to day Quality Assurance activities while ensuring raw material and finished product quality by sampling, testing and auditing, including both manufacture of product and the cleaning of the production lines.

Key Components of the role

To collect samples, log details within the allocated tracker, communicate with third-party labs, submit tests, and prepare/send samples for testing. Log and share non-conforming results immediately with the reporting manager.

* Water Samples
* Environmental monitoring
* Packaging monitoring
* Finished Product

Maintain onsite lab area, conduct calibration on test equipment, and maintain hygiene of lab area and equipment such as pH meters, auto titrators, viscosity meters, refractometers, density meters, and colorimeters.

Review production quality paperwork from previous shifts, check for completion, raise findings, and segregate finished products manually and in SAP systems.

Conduct physical and chemical analyses on raw materials and finished products, produce certificates of analysis, supervise product assessment panels, and manage customer inquiries related to product complaints and specifications.

Segregate non-conforming products, maintain and improve quality systems, carry out audits, process purchase orders for FSQ activities, and participate in meetings to report issues and take technical actions.

Support third-party audits, provide training on FSQ processes, assist in R&D and process improvement trials, and support evidence collection for compliance.

Produce weekly quality activity data, support raw material and packaging maintenance, assist with change control, and support other activities within the FSQ team.

Skills & Requirements

* Training will be provided for all aspects of the role.
* Food Safety and HACCP training beneficial but not essential (training will be provided).
* Food Science or related qualification and experience beneficial but not essential.
* Basic understanding of Biology, Chemistry, or related food science.
* Proficiency in spoken and written English.
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
