The Opportunity
A fast-growing, product-led Direct-to-Consumer business is seeking an experienced Head of Product to lead its end-to-end product development function.
This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a commercially astute product leader who has successfully taken products from concept to market at scale and is comfortable operating in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
Important: This role requires proven, hands-on experience working directly with Far East factories, including negotiating pricing, commercial terms and delivery timelines. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.
The Role
The Head of Product will take ownership of the full product lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap planning through to supplier management, delivery and post-launch performance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Owning and delivering a multi-year product development roadmap
* Leading supplier sourcing and commercial negotiations with Far East manufacturing partners
* Negotiating pricing, terms and delivery schedules to meet margin, quality and timing objectives
* Managing product development from concept through to launch and lifecycle management
* Overseeing product quality, compliance and performance
* Acting as the senior product stakeholder across the wider business
* Working closely with internal teams including Operations, Marketing, Digital and Customer Service
* Leading and developing the Product function and team
Required Experience
* Significant experience in product development and sourcing, with regular engagement with Far East factories
* Strong commercial acumen, including direct negotiation of pricing, terms and delivery timelines
* Experience managing complex or technical products
* Ability to operate with autonomy and accountability in a fast-paced environment
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable
* Experience in consumer, retail, D2C or product-led businesses
* Background in engineered, technical or regulated products
