An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to manage a team of six Finance Assistants within a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operational delivery, ensuringpliance with sector‑specific tax regulations, driving performance excellence, and supporting continuous improvement across the Purchase to Pay function.
You will play a key part in maintaining service standards, supporting team development, and acting as a central point of escalation for both internal and external stakeholders.
Your new role
Reporting to the AP Team Manager:-
Team Leadership & Performance
1. Lead, develop and motivate a team of six Finance Assistants within a hybrid working environment, ensuring consistent delivery and adherence to relevant taxpliance requirements.
2. Coordinate team workloads, plan and organise work schedules, and manage capacity effectively.
3. Take responsibility for daily task allocation, performance monitoring and achieving operational targets.
4. Report directly to the Purchase to Pay Manager, providing insight on team performance and workflow efficiencies.
Operational Delivery
5. Ensure all queries and issues are resolved within agreed Service Level Agreements.
6. Act as the primary escalation point forplex or unresolved issues raised by internal teams or vendors.
7. Drive high-quality service delivery across the Purchase to Pay function.
Stakeholder Collaboration
8. Build strong working relationships with internal functions including Procurement, IT, Finance,mercial teams and operational sites.
9. Work across organisational boundaries to provide high‑quality support and maintain service excellence.

What you'll need to succeed
12. Proven experience managing medium-sized teams within an Accounts Payable Shared Service function or other high‑volume transactional finance environment.
13. Knowledge of relevant tax requirements, including DRC and CIS, within aplex organisational setting.
14. Experience leading or supporting change initiatives within Accounts Payable or similar functions.
15. Strong understanding of Accounts Payable regulations, controls and best practice.
16. Experience with Oracle and/or Causeway systems preferred, though other finance system experience is acceptable.
17. Strong organisational skills with the ability to reprioritise at short notice and meet tight deadlines.
