Teach Now is recruiting a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor for a welcoming secondary school in the London Borough of Brent. This is a full-time, temporary position starting 23 February 2026, ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience within a secondary school setting.
This inclusive and well-organised school supports students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, delivering pre-planned work and maintaining a focused, productive learning environment. This role is ideal for graduates considering teacher training, experienced teaching assistants, or individuals with strong classroom presence and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5 using prepared resources
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Support students with additional needs, including SEN, where required
• Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and student engagement
Requirements
• Previous experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Confidence managing a classroom independently
