Role Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of complex engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) and Civil projects. You will play a key role in designing, coordinating, and implementing mechanical systems for critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead mechanical design and system integration for water and wastewater treatment projects
* Collaborate with civil, electrical, and safety teams to ensure project synergy
* Manage procurement of mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards
* Oversee subcontractor activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and quality requirements
* Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress and ensure compliance with design specifications
* Engage with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and technical guidance
* Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations
* Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, milestones, and risk assessments
* Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and support the development of team capabilities
What We’re Looking For
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline (Chartered status preferred)
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical or project engineering within the water industry
* Strong project management and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
* Sound understanding of HSE regulations in engineering environments
* Proficiency in MS Office; experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project is desirable
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong client relationships
* Full UK Driving Licence required
