We are seeking an experienced and driven Golf Course Manager to join our team at Heythrop Park, a well-regarded 18-hole resort golf course located in North Oxfordshire. About the Role: As the Golf Course Manager, you will lead a dedicated team to ensure the course is maintained to the highest possible standard year-round. You'll play a key role in course presentation, turf care, environmental management, and strategic planning, delivering exceptional playing conditions for our members, hotel guests and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily operations of the green-keeping department Plan and implement all course maintenance and development works Manage, train, and motivate a team of green keepers Oversee turf management including mowing, fertilisation, irrigation, and pest control Ensure compliance with health and safety and environmental regulations Monitor departmental budgets and resource planning Liaise closely with the Club Manager Keep abreast of best practices, innovations, and industry standards Ideal Candidate: Minimum Level 3 in Sports Turf Management (or equivalent) Proven experience in a senior green-keeping or course management role Strong knowledge of turf care, machinery, and irrigation systems PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying certificates preferred Excellent leadership and communication skills Flexible, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality standards Full UK driving licence The benefits of working with us Free use of gym and leisure facilities Staff golf privileges Free or 60% discounted food onsite Access to numerous discounts and offers with many national brands and retailers.
