The Global Health Economics & Outcome Research Manager (HEOR) will be part of our Market Access and Reimbursement Centre of Excellence (COE) and report into the Director, Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research.
This will be a pivotal role in supporting our Convatec Market Access capabilities our business strategy within the evolving global market access and reimbursement landscape. The HEOR Manager will work cross-functionally and across regions to develop and communicate compelling HEOR evidence supporting the value of Convatec’s products and services for reimbursement and healthcare payers across the product lifecycle.
This is a remote role with some travel, up to 30% of the time and mostly within Europe and the It is an individual contributor role on a global level without leadership responsibilities.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
1. Support development and execution of HEOR plans and evidence strategies across Convatec’s portfolio to support optimal reimbursement, funding, payment and access
2. Design, build, test and maintain economic models (including budget impact, cost-consequence and cost-effectiveness models)
3. Tailor models to payer needs and decision contexts in key geographies
4. Develop HEOR content for reimbursement submissions, value dossiers, and internal decision-making
5. Translate model outputs into clear and compelling insights for internal stakeholders
6. Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Commercial, R&D, Regulatory, Finance and regional market access teams
7. Manage external HEOR vendors where appropriate and ensure quality and timely delivery
8. Contribute to abstracts, congress submissions, and peer-reviewed publications
ABOUT YOU:
9. An advanced Degree in health economics, pharmaco-economics, public health, health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related discipline (Masters’ degree, PhD, PharmD, or MD)
10. 5+ years’ experience in health economics and outcomes research or directly related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably with experience working with new medical technologies in medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology
11. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to understand and communicate technical data to non-technical audiences and proficiency in understanding and communicating scientific data
12. Hands on experience in developing health economic models from inception to implementation
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
14. Excellent presentation, collaboration and influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders
Ideally, we are also looking for:
15. Successful first or last authorship on multiple peer-reviewed publications and abstracts
16. Experience in wound care, continence care and/or ostomy care
