The role
As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, inspection, storage, and issue of materials that keep our defence projects running. This is a hands-on role where accuracy and attention to detail matter.
Day-to-day, you’ll help maintain operational readiness and support the delivery of critical equipment to our customers, making a real difference to national security while developing your skills in a dynamic environment.
1. Actioning the receipt of consignments within the Goods Inward Department using MJDI
2. Checking consignments in line with Defence Logistics Framework (DLF) policies
3. Managing material requirements for Equipment Support and General Support Materiel
4. Operating Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently
5. Supporting accurate storage and issue processes to meet customer requirements
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Ashchurch.
Essential experience of the Material Accountant / Warehouse Operator
6. Trained in the use of Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE)
7. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred)
8. Ability to work accurately and follow compliance procedures
9. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
