Location: Apex House / Gillingham Role Purpose: The Quality Technician position is a diverse position who plays a critical role in supporting the compliance team. Their function will cover quality and environmental systems updates, supplier support, non-conformities, day to day production activities, reporting, action in change requests and updating of technical documentation. Who you’ll report to Senior Customer Quality Engineer What you’ll be doing: Provide support to the Senior Customer Quality Engineer with customer returns and credits. Issuing of RMAs to customers. Testing of returned goods and providing reports to customers. Facilitating the return of faulty goods to Kentec (SRI Scheme, Kentec RMA process) and replacement product to our customers. Complete first article inspection reports and general inspection activities. Works systematically to ensure completion of tasks to meet stakeholder deadlines Create template documents for future use Maintain internal product audits schedule, perform any necessary duties as an internal auditor. Support quality control activities (when required & during periods of absence) Approval of documents on SAP System Provide engineering support to operations team ensuring consistent application of quality techniques. Internal / Supplier support for non-conformities logging and reporting. Update of quality procedures, work instruction, forms and regulatory documentation. Data collection and submission to necessary compliance bodies. Contribute to continuous improvement activities. In addition to this, you will possess the following: Qualifications Essential: Quality, Mechanical or Electrical engineering disciplines Desirable: ONC/HNC - Engineering qualification in Mechanical or electrical drawings Desirable: ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor (training can be provided) Experience Essential: Minimum of 2 years engineering or manufacturing experience. Essential: Minimum of 2 years quality assurance experience. Essential: Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) Desirable: Internal auditing Knowledge / IT Software Essential: The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
