About the role
We are excited to recruit an ambitious and dedicated Assistant Merchandiser to join our Celebrations team at Tesco. Tesco is a leading multinational retailer, and as an Assistant Merchandiser, you will play a vital role within the team. You will support the Merchandising department by ensuring products are correctly placed and available at the right time.
If you have merchandising experience, an analytical mindset, and a commercial approach, this position could be ideal for you.
Responsibilities
* Provide merchandising support to ensure departmental efficiency, including preparing analysis for your manager (such as Monday trade analysis), and collaborate with the HSC Merchandising team and suppliers.
* Share market and competitor insights to understand customer needs.
* Assist in building balanced product ranges that meet sales, stock, and profit targets.
* Manage order critical paths, line projections, and maintain accurate ranging databases.
* Handle product intake to ensure availability and support launches and events.
* Produce weekly WSSI and line flow analyses to help track sales, margins, and stock across regions and channels.
* Assist in risk analysis, stock management, and markdown opportunities.
* Coordinate promotions and markdowns across channels and regions.
* Resolve supply chain and replenishment issues to meet stock and availability goals.
* Support the MPM in strategy preparation, analyzing trends and historical data.
* Adhere to our Business Code of Conduct, acting with integrity and due diligence.
